South Ashford Medic's - Patient Participation Group:

South Ashford Medics has a Patient Participation Group (PPG) which was formed in 2009.

The group were able to support and consult with the management of the Practice throughout the tendering process in 2010, during the management re-structure of 2011 and they continue to date in their significant and valued role.  South Ashford Medic's undertook the management of the Practice in December 2011 and greatly appreciate the support and advice that the group have given in these highly challenging months.

We currently have a number of patients registered with interest in being involved with the group.  We have endeavoured to ensure that these patients cover a cross-section of the practice population including ethnicity, employment status, age, sex and disability.

The group meet every 6-8 weeks face-to-face with representatives of the Practice to discuss and consult on how to develop the Practice.  Some patients prefer to be contacted only by email which we are happy to accomodate.  The group advise on patient issues, patient survey outcomes, locality changes and how we can meet the needs of patients and practice alike.

As a Practice we continue to encourage interest through the patient survey, at patient registration, posters and the website.

Please find the latest PPG Action Plan and the TOR.
